Vallalar was mystic saint who lived in the 19th century. The saint experienced the Lord and the light within   the light, representative of the formless infinite spirit. His sincere wish was that people living in every nook and corner of the world should be able to get the experience of the grace light he got. To symoblise this, he built a specially designed Hall of Wisdom through followers at Vadalur for universal worship. The hall was named by him as Sathya Gnana Sabhai.

The nearest railway station is Virudhachalam, Tamil Nadu and the nearest airport is Trichirappalli.
